Here in California, my kids go back to school on August 15th. Back to school has always been a big time for sign-ups in our industry so I’m sure you are well into your back to school promotions.
How about other special occasions or holidays? Do you promote those as well in your school? I’m not just talking about Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s either! How about Flag Day, St. Patrick’s Day or even Chuck Norris’s birthday?
You see, people respond better to holidays and special occasions. Why? Because, in most instances, these special occasions are already on their mind! Robert Collier, a famous direct response marketer, said, “You always want to enter the conversation already happening in someone’s mind”.
If they are already thinking of a particular holiday, doesn’t it make sense to be a part of their thinking by offering a special?
How about the anniversary of your school? More than likely, it isn’t on the mind of anyone except you but it offers an excellent opportunity (the reason why) for you to promote your school.
To get your creative juices going, here is a list of events from August to December for you to add to your marketing calender. Have fun!
